Qualifications & Skills:
Restaurant experience desirable, but not required. Excellent communication skills. To be considered for this role, you should be available to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Summary of Position:
Server Assistant responsibilities include serving plates, glasses and silverware, refilling beverages and cleaning tables. If you enjoy a fast-paced way of working and are highly motivated this job will be right for you.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare dining and patio areas before guests are seated, including cleaning designated areas daily.
- Place tableware, candles and condiments on tables prior to opening.
- Serve water and sometimes welcome snacks (i.e. chips and salsa)
- Refill beverages and prebus tables throughout the shift.
- Clean and reset tables after guests leave
- Maintain health and safety regulations at all kitchen and dining areas
Physical Demands:
- Lifting and carrying of items not to exceed 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a wet environment.
- Extensive and prolonged walking, standing, bending, and reaching are required.
- Grasping and fine manipulation using hands required.
- Ability to work up to 8-10 hours per day.
Other requirements:
- Must have a current food handler’s card, RBS card (if over 18 years of age),
- California workplace harassment training, and/or any additional training required by law.
