A growing and well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Business Transactions Associate Attorney to join its team in either Tulsa or Oklahoma City.

This is an excellent opportunity for a transactional attorney who wants to work on a broad range of sophisticated business matters, have meaningful client interaction, and build a long-term practice in a collaborative environment.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will handle a diverse range of business and transactional matters, working with clients throughout the life cycle of their businesses.

The practice includes business formations, mergers and acquisitions, general corporate transactions, and other sophisticated business matters. Attorneys have the opportunity to work directly with clients and take meaningful ownership of their matters.

The firm is looking for an attorney who combines strong transactional experience with excellent interpersonal skills. Personality and cultural fit are particularly important, as the firm values a collaborative and collegial work environment.

What You'll Do

• Advise businesses and business owners on a broad range of transactional matters
• Handle business formations and entity structuring
• Assist clients with mergers and acquisitions
• Draft and negotiate contracts and other transactional documents
• Advise clients regarding general corporate and business matters
• Manage transactions from initial planning through closing
• Communicate directly with clients and develop long-term professional relationships
• Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals to provide practical, business-focused solutions

Ideal Candidate

• 5–10+ years of transactional legal experience
• Strong background in business transactions
• Experience handling a broad range of transactional matters, including M&A and business formations
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
• Comfortable communicating directly with clients
• Strong business judgment and attention to detail
• Professional, personable, and collaborative
• Someone who enjoys being part of a team and building lasting client relationships

Compensation & Benefits

• Full benefits package
• Benefits begin the first of the month following hire
• 401(k) eligibility after one year
• Unlimited PTO for attorneys, provided billable expectations are met
• Flexible approach to scheduling when needed—attorneys can adjust start/end times as long as work gets done
• 1,620 annual billable-hour expectation
• No rigid monthly billing requirement, allowing for natural fluctuations in transactional work

Additional Bonus Opportunities

The firm provides multiple opportunities for attorneys to increase their compensation:

Client Origination Bonus

Earn 10% of collected revenue from new clients personally brought to the firm, paid monthly.

Billable Hours Bonus

Attorneys who exceed 405 billable hours during a calendar quarter may be eligible for a discretionary quarterly bonus based on fees generated above the threshold.

Client Review Bonus

Receive a bonus when a client provides a qualifying 5-star review that specifically recognizes the attorney by name.
