Overview:

The Business Systems Manager will work closely with Operations, Transportation, Finance, Commercial, and Corporate teams to ensure business systems deliver measurable value and support company objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage Omni's portfolio of business applications, including ERP and related operational systems.
  • Serve as the primary business manager for the RIMAS ERP implementation.
  • Lead a team of product owners from a variety of business segments.
  • Coordinate future deployments, upgrades, enhancements, and business systems improvements across divisions.
  • Establish and lead business systems processes, including change management, release prioritization, testing standards, and user acceptance procedures.
  • Partner with operations, transportation, finance, commercial, and support functions to identify and prioritize system needs, process improvements, and enhancement opportunities.
  • Manage project scope, timeliness, budgets, and resources.
  • Manage software vendors, implementation partners, and third-party service providers to ensure successful delivery and support.
  • Facilitate communication between business stakeholders, software vendors, and IT teams.
  • Monitor application performance, user adoption, and business outcomes; develop action plans to address gaps and opportunities.
  • Lead steering committee meetings and provide executive-level reporting, dashboards, and recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain business process documentation, system standards, and governance procedures.
  • Support organizational change management, training initiatives, and user adoption programs.
  • Evaluate new business applications and technologies that may improve operational efficiency and business performance.
Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business, Finance, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience managing business systems, ERP platforms, business applications, or related operational technologies.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and business process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of operational, financial, transportation, logistics, and business workflows.
  • Experience delivering full lifecycle ERP projects.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across multiple departments.
  • Experience managing software vendors and external service providers.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strategic and experienced with contract negotiations.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced with Agile software development.
  • Willingness to work additional hours as required.
  • Relocation to the Fort Wayne, IN area.

Preferred

  • Working knowledge in the metals recycling business, including transportation and operations
  • RIMAS or comparable ERP platforms.
  • Experience leading business system implementations, upgrades, or optimization initiatives.
