Title: Business Systems Analyst V (IT Asset Manager Subject Matter Expert)

POSITION OVERVIEW

The ESA V program delivers enterprise-level IT services to key customers within the Department of Justice (DOJ). The IT Asset Manager SME provides dedicated on-site expertise across the full lifecycle management of IT hardware assets within the customer environment. This role drives complete asset visibility, process compliance, and operational asset handling across DOJ systems and facilities.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and maintain comprehensive hardware and IT asset inventories across all customer locations.

Add, assign, update, and track IT assets in DOJEMP systems, including AssetTrack, ServiceNow HAM, APM, and Sunflower databases.

Create and manage Excel trackers, Adobe PDF documentation, and supporting files for asset audits, acquisitions, transfers, and retirements.

Perform physical inventory duties on-site, including lifting, unpacking, tagging, transferring, and retiring hardware across multiple Washington, DC locations.

Support scheduled and ad-hoc asset audits, continuous data validation, and asset reconciliation activities.

Coordinate with Federal Leads to manage spare inventory stock levels across warehouses, image labs, and stockrooms.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Professional IT Asset Management / Configuration Management experience (12+ years with BS or equivalent; or High School Diploma with 5+ years of prior relevant experience).

Past IT support experience in a Windows office environment (5+ years).

Hands-on proficiency with ITSM ticketing and enterprise asset tracking systems (e.g., ServiceNow, AssetTrack, APM, Sunflower) (3+ years).

ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS

Prior experience supporting Department of Justice (DOJ) components or federal government environments.

ITIL Foundation or specialized ITAM certifications (e.g., CHAMP, CITAM).

Active Public Trust clearance.
