Business Systems Analyst V

CTG is seeking to fill a Business Systems Analyst V opening for our client.

Location: Buffalo, NY
Duration: 6 months

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead complex projects from requirements gathering through post-implementation, managing scope, milestones, timelines, deliverables, and project documentation.

• Analyze business requirements and complex data to develop functional specifications, evaluate system impacts, and support application enhancements, integrations, conversions, and enterprise initiatives.

• Serve as functional lead and subject matter expert, partnering with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and testing teams to ensure solutions meet business and regulatory requirements.

• Coordinate project meetings, estimates, timelines, testing activities, and data mapping across applications and business units.

• Develop and execute test plans and test cases; identify, document, and resolve issues during testing and implementation.

• Monitor change requests and project deliverables for adherence to business requirements, technology standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.

• Coordinate post-implementation activities, including issue resolution, stakeholder feedback, and project debriefs.

• Mentor less experienced staff and provide guidance on application training, research, analysis, and project methodology.

• Identify and escalate risks and ensure timely resolution of issues affecting project or application performance.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

• No direct supervisory responsibility.

• Provide mentoring, guidance, and functional leadership to less experienced staff and project team members.

Education and Experience Required:

• Minimum of 6 years of combined higher education and/or operational/business analytics experience.

• Strong business analysis, problem-solving, organizational, time management, and communication skills.

• Experience analyzing complex information and developing or implementing solutions.

• Ability to manage multiple complex projects, competing priorities, and project milestones.

• Proficiency with personal computers and relevant project management, word processing, and spreadsheet applications.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across business and technology teams.

Education and Experience Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree.

• Subject matter expertise in supported business functions and applications.

• Advanced knowledge of applications, integrated systems, and enterprise application frameworks.

• Experience with acquisitions, system conversions, integrations, or complex application implementations.

• Experience coordinating projects across multiple applications and business units.

• Ability to effectively present to all levels of management.

• Familiarity with application development environments and hardware platforms.

• Proactive, detail-oriented approach with strong analytical and lateral-thinking abilities.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
