    • Currently 2 days/week onsite, moving to 4 days/week

    Position Summary
    The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) supports the delivery of high-quality technology solutions by developing clear system requirements and functional/technical specifications aligned with enterprise standards. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and project teams to elicit, analyze, document, and manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

    Key Responsibilities
    Analysis & Solution Design
    • Research and analyze current-state system capabilities and recommend efficient technology solutions
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate solution options and assess impacts to processes and systems
    • Guide integration activities and ensure alignment with architecture and delivery frameworks
    • Maintain quality and consistency across deliverables by following BSA best practices
    Requirements & Testing Support
    • Elicit, document, and manage functional and technical requirements
    • Translate requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results
    • Support product, performance, UAT, and operational acceptance testing
    Delivery & Collaboration
    • Follow established requirements management, project management, and enterprise delivery standards
    • Communicate clearly and consistently with stakeholders across business and technical teams
    • Manage priorities across single or multiple concurrent projects
    • Contribute to team knowledge transfer and support less experienced colleagues
    • Identify opportunities to improve team productivity and operational efficiency

    Qualifications
    Required
    • 3+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst (insurance experience strongly preferred)
    • Hands-on experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or SAFe)
    • Foundational insurance rating experience, including rating engines or rating model development
    • Strong understanding of personal lines insurance (auto, residential)
    • Advanced Excel skills, including validating and troubleshooting actuarial calculation sheets
    • Experience with XML, APIs, and integration/web service technologies
    • Working knowledge of SQL, XML, and core pricing/rating concepts
    • Ability to support rating algorithm design based on actuarial specifications
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    Preferred / Nice to Have
    • Exposure to commercial insurance products and rating models
    • Experience with Guidewire or other policy administration systems
    • Familiarity with integration mapping, data transformations, or API testing tools
    • Prior collaboration with Underwriting or Pricing teams
    • Experience in advanced SAFe Agile environments
    • Broader knowledge of insurance workflows (policy issuance, endorsements, renewals)

    Education
    • Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
    • 3–5 years of overall relevant experience
