Systems Analyst Insurance OperationsWe are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst to support technology initiatives within an insurance environment. This individual will work across business, technology, and quality teams to help translate operational needs into system requirements and support solutions through testing and implementation.
The right candidate will bring a combination of insurance industry knowledge, business analysis experience, and hands-on involvement with core insurance technology platforms.
What You'll Do- Partner with business users and technology teams to understand operational needs and translate them into actionable system requirements.
- Analyze workflows, system functionality, and business processes to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Create and maintain requirements, process documentation, user stories, acceptance criteria, and other functional documentation.
- Support changes to systems used throughout the insurance policy and customer lifecycle.
- Participate in testing activities to confirm new functionality performs as intended and meets business needs.
- Coordinate with QA, development, product, and business stakeholders to investigate and resolve issues identified during testing.
- Support technology releases, system enhancements, and larger modernization efforts.
- Help assess the downstream impact of system and process changes.
- Participate in implementation readiness and post-release validation.
- Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and outstanding issues to appropriate stakeholders.
What We're Looking For- Business analysis or systems analysis experience within the insurance industry.
- Experience supporting personal insurance products, such as automobile or residential/property coverage.
- Experience working with technology that supports core insurance functions such as policy processing, billing, rating, or related operations.
- Hands-on involvement with user acceptance testing or functional system validation.
- Experience supporting technology implementations, system upgrades, modernization efforts, or significant platform changes.
- Strong requirements gathering, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Helpful Experience- Exposure to commercially available insurance technology platforms.
- Experience with Guidewire, Duck Creek, EIS, or similar insurance solutions.
- Knowledge of insurance rating or pricing processes.
- Experience supporting product or regulatory differences across multiple states.
- Insurance technology certifications or platform-specific training.
Ideal BackgroundWe are looking for someone who understands how insurance operations and technology intersect. The strongest candidates will be able to discuss how they have supported insurance systems, partnered with business users, participated in testing, and helped move technology changes successfully into production.
Experience with a specific software platform is beneficial, but broader experience working with core insurance systems and personal insurance products is most important.
Pay Range: $55.00 - $72.00 per hour
