The Port of Long Beach is seeking an experienced
Business Systems Analyst to support the implementation, enhancement, and long-term success of its Enterprise Asset Management System (VUEWorks). This role serves as a vital link between business stakeholders, Information Management, and technology partners to ensure asset management processes, system integrations, workflows, and reporting capabilities align with organizational goals.
The successful candidate will help drive modernization initiatives that support predictive maintenance, asset analytics, smart infrastructure, and future Digital Twin capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with business and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Translate requirements into functional specifications, workflows, and system solutions.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and process improvement initiatives.
- Support implementation, configuration, and adoption of the VUEWorks Enterprise Asset Management platform.
- Lead and support system integrations, data mapping, interface requirements, and data governance activities.
- Develop and coordinate integration testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and system validation efforts.
- Identify opportunities to improve asset management processes, operational efficiency, and business outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Maintenance, Finance, Real Estate, Project Controls, and Information Management.
- Support organizational change management, user training, and knowledge transfer activities.
- Contribute to technology modernization strategies focused on smart infrastructure, asset lifecycle management, and digital transformation.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role.
- Experience supporting enterprise system implementations and integrations.
- Strong expertise in requirements gathering, business analysis, process mapping, and stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), CMMS, or infrastructure asset management solutions.
- Experience with testing methodologies, including Integration Testing and UAT.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
- IAM certification and/or demonstrated knowledge of ISO 55000 asset management principles.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with VUEWorks or similar EAM platforms.
- Knowledge of GIS, BIM, SCADA, ERP, Financial Systems, or Operational Technology environments.
- Experience with SQL, reporting tools, data visualization, and analytics.
- CBAP, PMI-PBA, or other Business Analysis certifications.
- Experience mentoring analysts or leading analyst workstreams.
