Job Description:

Typical Day in the Role

Purpose of the Team: The Marketing Services Center is a marketing operations organization that supports field and corporate marketing by executing marketing tactics and services. The team manages large-scale event execution, email marketing campaigns, website management, lead uploads, and content operations. It is one of client largest marketing operations teams, supporting global marketing activities at significant scale.

Key projects: Support the team''s Rhythm of Business (ROB) by coordinating leadership meetings, agendas, action items, and reviews. The role will also contribute to ad hoc projects, quarterly business reviews, transformation initiatives, status reporting, and other operational priorities

Best vs. Average: he ideal resume would include experience supporting a large, globally dispersed organization in a Business Manager, Chief of Staff, or closely related role. Consulting experience or ability to develop leadership-ready PowerPoint presentations.

Summary:

The main function of a business operations specialist is to maintain vendor relationships, acting as a business analyst for non-IT projects or filling organizational roles above an administrative level, but below a management level. Other responsibilities may include maintaining all project management processes, including project goals, deadlines, metrics and budget. The business operations specialist usually reports to a project manager or director.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review and approve contracts, cost proposals and contract supplements.
• Approve project and work breakdown structures.
• Review and approve the documentation of business processes.
• Approve project budgets and expenditures, monitor transaction controls and costs against budgets.
• Predict potential budget overruns and offer solutions.
• Consult with corporate offices, project managers, auditors, client and sub-consultant representatives regarding future proposals.
• Prepare sub-agreements and review and input sub-consultant invoices to ensure contact compliance.

Skills:

• Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time.
• Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
• Strong ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed.
• Strong ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
• Previous experience with computer applications, such as MS Word and Excel; Enterprise Application experience a plus.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor''s degree in business management, economics, finance, accounting or relevant field required.
• 8-10 years experience required.

• Own master RoB calendar, forum inventory, and Standard Meeting Charters.
• Maintain LT Staff Meeting agenda; every item tagged Decision / Risk / Help / FYI.
• Own Pre-OE narrative alignment embedded into last-week LT Staff.
• Prep Quarterly Budget Review with Budget Owner.

Top 3 Must-Have HARD Skills & years of experience for each:

• 6+ years preferred in business operations, business manager, program management, or strategy operations roles.
• Strong executive writing: memos, narratives, decision briefs, agenda framing, and leadership-ready summaries.
• Advanced MS365 skills: Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Planner, SharePoint. Need to be able to build polished communication artifacts such as PowerPoints and Emails.
