POSITION TITLE: Business Specialist Non ACT 40 Funds
DEPARTMENT: Client Services - Relationship Management
- POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor degree or comparable experience required; Degree in Business, Accounting or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of business experience required; 3+ years of business experience preferred.
- General knowledge of the mutual fund industry preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; Advanced proficiency preferred.
- Familiarity with databases for reporting, analysis, and data management preferred.
- Familiarity with data reconciliation and data analysis required.
- Experience identifying process improvements, workflow efficiencies, and automation opportunities preferred.
MAJOR DUTIES:
- Perform ongoing monitoring, reconciliation, and reporting for Non-40 Act Funds, including account activity, operational processes, and service components.
- Respond to inquiries from intermediaries, transfer agents, clients, and internal business partners, and resolve account-related issues and exceptions.
- Track and process 12-Month Notices and waiver requests for Capital Preservation Fund accounts.
- Import, reconcile, validate, and maintain data from internal and external sources.
- Analyze client and operational data to identify missing information, ineligible investors, discrepancies, and potential compliance or operational risks.
- Prepare standard and ad hoc reports, statistical analyses, presentations, and other reporting for management, boards, regulatory stakeholders, and key business partners.
- Interpret fund disclosure documents, contracts, and operational requirements to support daily business activities.
- Support system upgrades, enhancements, testing activities, and issue resolution efforts.
- Identify opportunities for automation, process improvements, workflow efficiencies, and risk mitigation.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
HOURS/LOCATION:
- 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (overtime as required)
