This position is responsible for developing relationships with business and industry partners in the region to sell EICC continuing education and professional development courses, with an explicit focus on the Clinton, DeWitt and Maquoketa areas (Clinton and Jackson counties). The Business Solution Consultant will maintain a portfolio of accounts, develop new leads and solicit new community partners.
This position may office at the Clinton Community College Campus and/or the DeWitt Career Advancement Center and serve those areas.

Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree required
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Exceptional communication and organization skills
- Manufacturing/skilled trades background highly preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Sales experience preferred
- Data and technology savvy
Physical Demands
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools and job specific tools
- Lifting up to 50 pounds to a height of three feet
- Perform all normal and expected duties of a skilled trade
- Lifting, kneeling, squatting, climbing, crawling, stooping, turning/twisting, balancing, reaching and handling with varying frequencies
- Frequent lifting and carrying, pushing, or pulling objects
Salary $62,900.00 - $78,700.00/Year Typical Duties and Responsibilities
A successful Business Solutions Consultant will:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of business and industry partner accounts across the Clinton region to sell EICC custom/contract training programs, continuing education courses, and apprenticeship/internship projects, to meet established personal and team revenue goals.
- Serve as go-to training partner to businesses in the Clinton, DeWitt and Maquoketa areas (Clinton and Jackson counties).
- Perform needs assessments with business and industry partners to understand workforce trends and issues, identify training needs, and develop strategic learning and development plans.
- Collaborate with Chambers of Commerce and other Economic Development agencies to build relationships and understand the region's workforce trends and needs.
- Work with other Business Solutions Consultants, EICC Continuing Education Program Managers, and EICC Workforce Development leaders to identify and design new training programs and courses.
- Facilitate businesses' access to and participation in State of Iowa's 260E New Jobs Training Program and 260F Iowa Jobs Training Program.
- Work with EICC Marketing and Communications teams to develop marketing materials and promote EICC continuing education opportunities, EICC events, and regional industry conferences and events.
- Travel to business around the region to manage portfolio accounts and solicit new leads and opportunities.
- Use Customer relationship management (CRM) software and other data platforms to track and manage business development activities and relationships.
- Collect partner feedback data and use it to improve partner service and engage in continuous program improvement.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
