8:00 am - 5:00 pm; Monday - Friday, with occasional evening and weekend hours required, as necessary. A flexible work schedule may be available with supervisor approval.
Primary Purpose of Position
This position provides full support for The William States Lee College of Engineering's Office of Student Development and Success (OSDS). Manages budget, personnel, and any business processes, and assists faculty, students, staff, and visitors. Reports to the Director of OSDS. Handles routine office functions and ad hoc projects as assigned. Handles correspondence and confidential information. Identifies inefficiencies and opportunities.
Minimum Education/Experience
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Essential Job Duties
- Manages budget tasks including: budget planning, reconciliation, and reporting
- Collaborates with other Office Administrators on purchasing and reconciliation processes
- Serve as cost object approver for faculty and staff travel to ensure proper fund use
- Manage student hires of undergraduate and graduate TAs as well as peer mentors.
- Monitor and reconcile student work salary for budget tracking
- Personnel processes including adjunct faculty hiring, faculty reappointments, summer salary, and administrative stipends
- Uses all fund types to support the department, including but not limited to state funds, fee funds, grants, discretionary and trust funds.
- Handles correspondence and confidential information.
- Manages records and fund activity.
- Processes paperwork and deposits. Interprets data. Identifies inefficiencies and opportunities.
- Promotes cross-training among staff.
- Assists Dean's Office on Academic Affairs reporting and other items as needed.
- Uses a variety of university systems.
- Uses University Purchasing Card. Uses Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
Other Work Responsibilities
- Aids in the resolution of issues encountered by faculty, staff, students, and visitors.
- Understands university guidelines, policies, and procedures and conveys this information clearly.
- Ensures business processes comply.
- Other duties include event support.
