Title :                Reverse Logistics Specialist
Location:          Hillsboro, OR
Duration:          0-12 months
Shift:                1st Shift ( 8:00AM to 5:00 PM)
Pay Rate:         $25.50  - $29.50/Hour

 
 
Job Duties:
The Logistics Specialist EM Certified is responsible for direct Logistics support and documentation of Certified processes.
You will work closely with other functions in our existing MSD organization to develop and adopt new processes to support the Certified business.
The Logistics Specialist will report to the Operations Manager and will collaborate closely with all Certified team members, third party logistics companies and other team members.
Responsible for coordinating the movement, storage, and distribution of goods to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. They work with suppliers, carriers, warehouses, and internal teams to manage inventory, shipments, and logistics operations while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
 
Responsibilities:
Main responsibilities include:
  • Hands-on daily Logistics support for the Certified team in planning de-installations, shipments, and parts orders.
  • Lead dedicated improvement programs that support the Certified business, incorporating Certified business process in overall sales and service processes.
  • Collaborating with the team to identify and deploy process improvements.
  • Proactively and effectively communicate to the team and stakeholders.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Schedule transportation and communicate with carriers and freight providers.
  • Track shipments and resolve delivery delays or transportation issues.
  • Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
  • Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure efficient order fulfillment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with replenishment planning.
  • Prepare shipping documentation, bills of lading, customs paperwork, and other required documents.
  • Analyze logistics performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Work with the Global trade compliance team to ensure compliance with transportation regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, customer service, and sales teams to support operational goals.
  • Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, damaged goods, and customer complaints.
  • Generate reports on logistics metrics such as on-time delivery, freight costs, inventory accuracy, and carrier performance.
  • Supporting ad-hoc requests.
 
Education and Experience:
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Enthusiastic about continuous improvement, identifying and driving improvement projects.
  • Proficiency in Communication and Change Management
  • Proven Project Management skills
  • Out of the box analytical person who is comfortable challenging traditional norms and status quo.
Required Qualifications
  • Knowledge of logistics software, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.), and transportation management systems (TMS).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a challenging environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • APICS/ASCM Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of international shipping, customs regulations, and import/export documentation.

Physical Requirements
