    Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

    • Conducts thorough assessments of existing business processes and interdependences with business polices, and procedures. Develops new processes as required to meet business objectives.
    • Utilizes data-driven analysis to identify inefficiencies, sub-optimal customer/user experience, bottlenecks, and areas for enhancement.
    • Aligns new business processes with existing ones and ensures scalability.
    • Conducts thorough testing of business process designs to calibrate accuracy and efficiency.
    • Collaborates with business stakeholders to develop actionable improvement plans.
    • Leverages system functionalities and technologies to support business objectives.
    • Establishes key performance indicators to measure business process effectiveness. Tracks and reports on progress.
    • Addresses any resistance to change and coordinates change management including training/support during process transitions. Facilitates the adoption of new business policies and processes across the organization.
    • May have responsibility for performance and coaching of staff and may have a participatory role in decisions regarding talent selection, development, and performance management for direct reports.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    • Great American's culture is built on connection, shared learning, and strong relationships. To support this, employees in this role are expected to be on-site four days a week, with the flexibility to work one day remotely. Core in-office days are Tuesday-Thursday, with the fourth day determined by business needs.
    • This position can be located in any of our three offices: Lakeland, FL, Gainesville, GA or Baton Rouge, LA.

    Job Requirements

    Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

    Experience: Generally, a minimum of 10 years of Business Process improvement experience. Prior Insurance experience preferred. Completion of or continuing progress toward a professional process improvement designation preferred, such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Lean Six Sigma.

    Scope of Job/Qualifications: Demonstrated proficiency in process mapping, data analysis, and project management. Responsible for complex process analysis, design and simulation, requiring a high degree of creativity and latitude. Works to assist with small projects or portions of large, complex projects.

    Maintains knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and benchmarks and incorporates relevant insights into process improvement initiatives. Requires a high level of understanding of the organization's business and technology operations. Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and analyze data to drive decision-making.
