Overview
LABUR is partnering with a client to bring on an AI Developer focused on building automation solutions for asset management workflow improvements. This role converts business problems into scalable AI-enabled and rule-based solutions that reduce manual effort and save time for business teams. The ideal person brings strong software engineering fundamentals, hands-on AI and machine learning experience, and experience building automations for key business processes.
Responsibilities
- Build AI-enabled automation for reconciliation and middle office workflows, including cash, position, and transaction data reconciliation
- Develop exception classification, anomaly detection, break prioritization, and root-cause analysis capabilities
- Design and implement classification, summarization, semantic search, and decision-support features using AI and machine learning
- Partner with business, operations, product, technology, risk, and vendor teams to deliver production-ready, supportable solutions
- Create technical designs, data mappings, workflow diagrams, and runbooks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience
- Several years of software engineering, AI development, data engineering, or automation engineering experience
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar languages with solid SQL and data transformation capabilities
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform services including Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, Google Cloud Storage, Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Composer/DAGs, and Secret Manager.
- Experience with Vertex AI Search, Gemini LLMs, Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, Gemini Flash 3.5, and Gemini Flash-Lite models.
- Experience with APIs, microservices, integrations, cloud platforms, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and production support
- Experience in asset management preferred
- Understanding of responsible AI principles including privacy, explainability, oversight, auditability, and operational risk controls
- Preferred: Experience with reconciliation platforms and experience modernizing manual processes through workflow automation, STP, or AI-assisted review
Compensation
$70-$75/hr - Dependent on fit and experience
