Information Technology Services (ITS) currently has an opening for a Business Operations Specialist - Asset Manager in our Chinden office in Boise. The selected individual must have the ability to manage business and administrative functions, multiple projects, or diverse programs for the Information Technology Services department. Primary responsibilities will include our hardware asset management (HAM) and fleet management programs.

Please note: The successful candidate will be required to pass multiple, comprehensive fingerprint-based background checks specific to the agencies ITS supports.

Example of Duties:

  • Assist and answer office staff and supported agency questions related to asset management.
  • Assist in preparations and implementation and ongoing maintenance of standard business operating policies and procedures related to asset management.
  • Records management - purchasing, financial, inventory, and other official office records and documents
  • Manage and oversee the maintenance of ITS owned and leased vehicles
  • Inventory management and control including:
  • Asset creation in ServiceNow (service management platform) upon purchase
  • Insurance coverage (if applicable)
  • Coordination of asset tagging (if applicable)
  • Tracking and annual inventory
  • Asset disposal/surplus activities
  • Ability to work independently under the direction and guidance of the Business Operations Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Some knowledge of management practices.
  • Experience: monitoring budgets, analyzing financial reports, and taking corrective action
  • Researching and compiling information for budget development
  • Interpreting and implementing policies, laws, rules, or regulations
  • Developing operating procedures.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with lifecycle management of hardware assets
  • Experience with hardware inventory tools, such as ServiceNow
  • Fleet management experience
