    Description

High-growth startup at the center of the AI industry is looking for a Business Operations Manager to support their Chief of Staff. In this broad, hands-on role, you'll own People Ops (onboarding and offboarding, payroll coordination across multiple international entities, benefits and compliance admin) alongside general business operations, office and team operations, and whatever ambiguous, high-leverage projects come up as the company scales. Someone who is a genuine builder: warm, organized, and process-driven, but also comfortable wearing many hats and picking up work without waiting for it to be fully defined. This is an in-office role, five days/week, based in San Francisco's Financial District. 130-160K DOE + equity, 401K with match, and 4 weeks PTO.

    Responsibilities:

    • Own People Ops end-to-end, including onboarding and offboarding, payroll coordination across the company's international entities, and benefits and compliance admin.
    • Support broader business operations alongside the dedicated Finance Manager, including contract and vendor administration.
    • Run office and team operations, including hosting guests and coordinating team events.
    • Work directly with the Chief of Staff and support the leadership team's operating cadence.
    • Take on ambiguous, cross-functional operational projects as they come up, without waiting for things to be fully scoped out.
    • Help build and improve operational tooling and processes, embracing an AI-native way of working.
    Qualifications:
    • Previous 5+ years as a broad operations generalist at a high-growth startup, with exposure across people ops, general operations, and light finance-adjacent work.
    • A genuine "builder" mentality — someone who wants to keep doing hands-on operational work, not use this as a stepping stone to a more strategic or Chief of Staff-style role.
    • Low ego, comfortable with ambiguity, and willing to pick up whatever needs doing.
    • Warm and approachable, comfortable being the go-to person for people ops questions.
    • Highly organized with strong follow-through.
    • Comfortable coordinating across multiple international entities and teams.
    • Genuine interest in using AI-native tools to improve how the team operates.

*Please Note: Your application will be considered for all open positions. You do not need to apply for multiple roles.
