The Global Planning & Operations Group brings information systems, facilities, supply chain, logistics, and high-volume manufacturing together to drive the engine of our global business operations. We help Lam deliver industry-leading solutions with speed and efficiency, while actively supporting the resilient and profitable growth of Lam's business.

## The impact you'll make

As a Business Operations Analyst at Lam, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of the Global Planning organization. Leveraging strong analytical methodologies, you will provide data-driven insights that enable decision-makers to address gaps, resolve issues, and achieve critical business objectives.

In this role, you will analyze and optimize planning metrics, evaluate business processes, and identify root causes of performance challenges. Your work will directly support continuous improvement initiatives, driving informed business decisions and delivering measurable operational results.

## What you'll do

    • Measure and publish operations performance to established metrics and targets. Conduct regular operations reviews with functional teams to ensure planning is sending accurate forecasting signals to supply chain, manufacturing, and logistics to optimize efficiency and output.
  • Perform gap-analysis and link to operational systems and processes.
  • Provide risk-assessments.
  • Present data-based prescriptive and actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Communicate process gaps (including non-standard work instructions) within the local and global organizations.
  • Drive process change cross -functionally.
  • Ensure compliance of analytics standards.
  • Take ownership of complex cross-functional efforts, coordinating stakeholders and advancing work to completion.

An ideal Operations Analyst is:

  • Curious - a strong desire to dig to and understand the root cause of problems (5x why)
  • Lives in the details while understanding the big (holistic) picture.
  • Is a self-starter - will not know everything but can teach themselves anything.
  • Embraces the detailed work required to achieve high-quality outputs, while actively seeking ways to streamline, improve, and reduce manual effort over time.
  • Is hyper-organized and is energized from bringing clarity and control to ambiguous and chaotic situations.
  • Can articulate simple, accurate conclusions from large amounts of data.
  • Can quickly build trust and establish rapport with all stakeholders and management levels.
  • Takes pride in output that has their name on it.

## Who we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field, with 5 years experience; or 3 years experience with a Master's degree; or Ph.D with no experience.
  • Five (5) years of Operations related experience in data science, program management, or analytics, or other similar role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with experience influencing stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success working in fast-paced global working environment.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders.
  • Advanced analytical skills to interpret and utilize data for decision support.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Power BI and other analytics tools.
