Business Office Manager
Location: American House Boynton Beach

Position Summary
The Business Office Manager is responsible for overseeing daily business office operations, including accounting, payroll, human resources administration, billing, and resident financial services. This role supports community leadership while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and exceptional service for residents and team members.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources & Administrative Support
- Maintain employee files and ensure compliance with state licensing and company requirements.
- Process employment verifications, background checks, and required HR documentation.
- Manage workers' compensation and unemployment claims.
- Assist employees with benefit enrollment and HR-related questions.
- Answer incoming calls and provide administrative support to leadership.
Finance & Accounting
- Process resident billing, invoices, statements, and account adjustments.
- Maintain resident financial records and supporting documentation.
- Reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash management activities.
- Process payroll and review employee timekeeping records.
- Manage accounts payable and maintain vendor invoices.
- Assist with monthly financial reporting, journal entries, and P&L preparation.
- Support annual budgeting and expense management.
Resident & Community Support
- Provide timely and accurate financial information to residents, families, and responsible parties.
- Deliver professional customer service while maintaining confidentiality.
- Support the community's mission of enriching the lives of seniors.
Qualifications
- Associate degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Experience in accounting, payroll, human resources, billing, or office management strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
