    Description

    The US Strategy and Insights team is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to drive customer insights across Prime Video. As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will generate insights that guide decisions across the full portfolio we support, including content programming and selection, marketing optimization, customer journey and lifecycle, marketplace, and competitive intelligence.

    You should be curious and comfortable digging deep into data to understand consumption of content and programs, identifying insights that will enable us to expand the impact of our content for our audiences. Data analysis is at the core of Amazon"s culture, and your work will have a direct impact on decision making and strategy for our team.

    You will be gathering customer insights, mining data, building analytic tools and predictive models, making recommendations, and helping senior leaders make key business decisions. You will have the opportunity to work with one of the largest and most complex data warehouses in the world to gather insights using data from across Amazon.

    A core part of this role is helping scale AI-powered solutions that answer critical business questions with speed and accuracy. You will build and automate tools that turn complex data into reliable answers our stakeholders can act on quickly, reducing manual analysis and getting insights into decision-makers" hands faster.

    The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and large datasets. They will have strong attention to detail and an ability to work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. They will have strong SQL skills, experience building data visualizations in dashboards, and the ability to clearly communicate and present information. They have strong technical skills, analytical capabilities, business insight, and communication skills, and maintain a strong passion for technology.

    Key job responsibilities

    Apply data mining, quantitative analysis, qualitative research and statistical models to understand how our customers interact with Prime Video.

    Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing performance insights metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions.

    Build and scale AI-powered solutions and automations that answer critical business questions with speed and accuracy.

    Publish, analyze and improve dashboards, operational business metrics decks and key performance indicators.

    The US Strategy and Insights team sits within US Prime Video. We operate across six functions: Business Planning, Product-Tech, Analytics, Data Science, Data Engineering, and Research. Our stakeholders span content programming, content acquisition, marketing, customer lifecycle, and senior leadership across the PV organization. Our roadmap is anchored in two investment themes (AI Tooling & Automation and Audience Infrastructure & Insights) spanning content optimization, experimentation, marketing, customer journey, marketplace, and competitive intelligence.
