    Description

    We are currently seeking a Business Intelligence Data Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of various business intelligence and analytics solutions. These solutions will be essential in delivering enterprise-wide strategic, tactical, and operational analysis and reporting to both operational managers and corporate executives. This position is fully remote.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Translate business needs to technical specifications
    • Design, develop, test, and deploy SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI reports and dashboards to meet client needs
    • Troubleshoot data integrity issues within existing data warehouse
    • Analyze existing data sets in order to design and develop new data models
    • Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to build new data models and ensure data is accurate and current
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a strategic vision for their BI and analytic needs
    • Collaborate with IT to identify and implement data management and protection solutions and processes for the business intelligence and analytics solutions
    • Provide end-user support
    • Create and maintain system documentation as changes are implemented
    • Perform other duties as assigned to meet departmental or company needs


    Qualifications:

    • Familiarity with Microsoft BI environment. (SQL Server, .NET, SSRS and/or Power BI)
    • Understanding of developing and distributing Microsoft Power BI reports
    • Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts, structures, and best practices
    • Comfortable analyzing existing source data systems to design and develop new data models
    • Ability to work both collaboratively and individually
    • Strong T-SQL skillset
    • Experience with On-prem Power BI preferred
    • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) preferred
    • Familiarity with Azure DevOps
    • Experience in financial and/or operational reporting preferred
    • Comfortable using ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, SSIS or Informatica
    • Comfortable using a variety of data sources (SQL, text, XML, CSV, MS Azure, Flow, Logic Apps)

    • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fully remote environment.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills using phone, email, and virtual collaboration tools.
    • Detailed-oriented and reliable, with a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and quality standards.

    • This position is available only in approved work locations.     Physical Requirements

    • Frequently required to operate a computer and file and retrieve written documents.
