Position: Business Execution Consultant
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Overview:
This role involves consulting as an expert to develop or influence initiatives and resources for highly complex business and technical needs across Business Execution. The consultant will address unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas, delivering long-term, large-scale solutions that demand vision, creativity, innovation, and advanced analytical thinking. The position also involves providing strategic consultation to senior leadership on innovative business solutions and engaging with personnel at various levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead deep dive work sessions with accounting domain partners and document high-quality accounting requirements.
  • Build test strategies and plans, write and execute test scripts.
  • Communicate practices and procedures for proper financial control functions in accordance with internal control policies.
  • Provide work guidance or mentorship to peers or junior team members.
  • Apply extensive specialized knowledge and act as an internal consultant.
  • Provide strategic consultation to leadership.
  • Lead implementation of complex projects or initiatives impacting multiple lines of business or the enterprise.
  • Identify compliance and risk management requirements and work with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between IT and finance/accounting functions, partnering with technology leads to align accounting requirements for building an efficient and scalable accounting engine system.

Qualifications:
  • 7 years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 5 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting, or Risk Reporting.
  • Experience with computer-based accounting systems.
  • Experience gathering accounting requirements used to build accounting systems.
  • Experience leading complex projects or initiatives impacting multiple lines of business or the enterprise.
  • Strong written, analytical, and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate at various organizational levels.
  • Experience building large-scale financial banking system implementations with hands-on involvement in requirements gathering, testing, training, and deployment.
  • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Good understanding of multi-currency enabled General Ledger ecosystems.
  • Experience using big data, cloud, or query data tools.

Preferred Skills:
  • Banking and accounting experience.
  • Accounting system implementation experience.
  • Agile methodology experience (bonus).
  • Data query tool experience (SQL, Dremio) (bonus).
  • Business analyst experience.

Pay Range: $70/hr-$80/hr on W2

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
