Business Execution Consultant
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)
Duration: Long-Term Contract
 

  • We are seeking an experienced Business Execution Consultant to support critical payments initiatives within a highly regulated financial services environment. This role will be responsible for driving project execution, managing implementation activities, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and supporting post-production stabilization efforts.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong project/program management experience, payments operations knowledge, executive communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering complex initiatives in regulated environments.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage project execution activities for strategic payments initiatives.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project plans, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
  • Track, report, and facilitate resolution of project defects and issues.
  • Coordinate operational readiness reviews and implementation activities.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, status reports, and governance materials.
  • Support leadership teams with implementation approvals, sign-offs, and decision-making processes.
  • Present project updates, risks, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Assess business impacts of unresolved defects and implementation challenges.
  • Partner with technology, operations, risk, compliance, and vendor teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Support post-implementation stabilization, remediation efforts, and ongoing due diligence activities.
 
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of Project Management and/or Program Management experience.
  • Experience delivering large-scale initiatives within regulated environments.
  • Strong background in financial services, banking, treasury, or payments organizations.
  • Experience supporting wire payments operations and payment-related programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Strong executive communication, presentation, and reporting skills.
  • Experience managing implementation activities from planning through production support.
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Agile Coach or Agile delivery experience.
  • Defect management and remediation experience.
  • Executive presentation development and governance reporting.
  • Knowledge of critical payments operations.
  • Experience supporting post-production stabilization activities.
  • Exposure to SWIFT, CHIPS, Fedwire, treasury operations, or payment processing environments.
