Business Engagement Coordinator

This is the opportunity for you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others across the Piedmont Triad Regional Council. As a Workforce Business  Engagement Coordinator (BEC), you have the opportunity to provide consultative business services to local businesses across the Piedmont Triad Regional Workforce Development Board (PTRWDB) Local Area In this position, you will help employers by providing business support, and program recommendations, and serve as a resource connection. You will work with corporations, medium to small local businesses, and entrepreneurial ventures. You will connect with local businesses to determine their specific talent concerns and work with the Workforce and Economic Development team to develop creative, data-driven solutions to address the business’ unique pain points. These solutions can include labor market data, work-based learning opportunities such as on-the-job training (OJT), and incumbent worker grants (IWTG). You will build relationships with businesses and partners across the Piedmont Triad Region in a collaborative effort to support our Local Area local region. PTRWDB’s 10 county footprint includes:   Alamance, Caswell, Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Randolph, Rockingham, , Stokes, Surry, Yadkin counties. Job posting will remain open until filled.

Job duties:

• Hold consultative meetings to assess needs of individual businesses
• Request and present labor market data for businesses
• Attend local hiring events to network with businesses and partners
• Work with the NCWorks Career Centers in the PTRWDB Local Area in a collaborative effort to serve employers and job seekers
• Implement PTRWDB business-related programs including OJTs, IWTGS, and any special grant funded initiatives focused on employer services
• Some travel throughout the region will be required, you may need to travel outside the region on occasion
