Business Diversity Program Manager

The Business Diversity Program Manager will lead the program operations for the Distributor Alliance and Supplier Diversity programs, responsible for expanding branch sales opportunities and managing overall program compliance. This position will play a vital role in connecting small, minority, and veteran-owned businesses with potential supply chain opportunities with the company!

Location:

This is a Hybrid role based out of Newport News, VA HQ, in accordance with the Ferguson Flex schedule; 3 days office / 2 days remote.

Key Responsibilities:

Distributor Alliance Program

• Lead as the sales liaison and subject matter expert to drive program expansion and sales opportunities for branch customer groups nationally.
• Lead review of small business federal, state, and local governments Request for Proposals (RFPs) for new business opportunities for branch customer groups nationally.
• Manage annual Distributor Alliance Program mandatory training for branch sales and credit department for compliance oversight. Provide guidance and mentorship on the program as a subject matter expert.
• Manage Distributor Alliance Program partners annual requalification letters, monthly spreadsheet, and certifications for Distributor Alliance Program partners.
• Manage annual company representations and certifications to prevent misrepresentations and compliance lapses.
• Manage federal online invoices for branch sales/credit (GSA, IPP, WAWF) to ensure timely payments to branch sales nationally.

Supplier Diversity

• Manage Supplier Diversity outreach events and collaborate with Supplier Diversity third party partners as the primary liaison to collaborate with Supplier Diversity third party partner organizations to identify high-potential small, minority, women businesses for supply chain opportunities.
• Manage Tier 1 and Tier 2 and spend data, maintaining accurate vendor profiles in the company supplier management portal and developing reports for branch sales, and external customers.

Preferred Education & Experience

• 5+ years bachelor's degree in business administration, public sector small business programs or contract management experience/work preferred.
• Strong public speaking, written communication, and delivery training skills.
• Strong ability to collaborate effectively with others.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly across all levels of the organization.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and trilogy
• Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

• Pay Range:
• $5,125.00 - $8,200.00
• Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
• This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
• Ferguson complies with all wage regulations. The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
