Pinnacle Peak Ace Hardware & Paint – North Scottsdale, AZ

Are you a people person who would rather be building relationships than sitting behind a desk all day?

Pinnacle Peak Ace Hardware & Paint is looking for an energetic, motivated Business Development & Outside Sales Representative to grow our commercial and business-to-business customer base throughout North Scottsdale and the surrounding area. This is not a high-pressure, cold-calling sales job. We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys meeting people, building relationships, solving problems, and becoming the person local businesses and contractors know they can call when they need something.

What You’ll Do

You’ll take ownership of growing our B2B business by developing relationships with:

• General contractors and subcontractors
• Painters and painting companies
• Property managers and HOAs
• Restaurants and hospitality businesses
• Maintenance companies
• Apartment and multifamily communities
• Schools, churches and local organizations
• Designers, builders and other local businesses

Your day may include visiting a jobsite, introducing yourself to a new contractor, checking in with an existing commercial customer, helping source a hard-to-find product, sending job quotes, coordinating an order, or finding a new opportunity for us to earn someone’s business.

Key Responsibilities

• Prospect for and develop new commercial accounts
• Spend consistent time out in the field meeting potential customers
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing B2B customers
• Visit jobsites and local businesses throughout the Scottsdale area
• Follow up on leads, quotes and potential accounts
• Help customers source products and coordinate larger orders
• Work closely with our paint, hardware and management teams
• Identify upcoming projects and new sales opportunities
• Maintain organized notes and follow-up on customer opportunities
• Help grow B2B sales and become a trusted resource for our commercial customers

Who We’re Looking For:

We care about drive, personality, relationship-building skills and follow-through. Previous industry experience is a major plus, but we’re also willing to train the right person.

The ideal candidate is:

• Outgoing and comfortable introducing themselves to new people
• Self-motivated and able to manage their own day
• Naturally good at building long-term customer relationships
• Persistent without being pushy
• Organized, dependable and strong with follow-up
• Comfortable working independently and spending time out in the field
• Someone who recognizes opportunities and takes initiative
• Motivated by growing sales and developing new accounts

Experience That Will Make You Stand Out

Previous Business-to-Business (B2B) sales or business development experience is a strong plus.

We are especially interested in candidates with experience in:

• Paint sales or the paint/coatings industry
• B2B or commercial sales
• Outside sales
• Contractor or construction sales
• Building materials or hardware
• Working directly with painters, contractors or tradespeople
• Property management, facilities or maintenance sales
• Account management or territory development

Existing relationships within the contractor, painting, construction, property management or local business community are also highly valued.

If you have experience selling paint or working with professional painters and contractors, we especially want to hear from you.

However, industry experience isn’t everything. If you’re a motivated salesperson who knows how to build relationships, earn trust and turn prospects into long-term customers, we’d still love to meet you.
