Position Summary

The Supply Chain Management B2B Business Development Specialist is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within logistics, transportation, warehousing, fulfillment, procurement, workforce solutions, and supply chain management services. This role serves as a strategic advisor to prospective clients, helping organizations improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, mitigate supply chain risks, and achieve business objectives through customized solutions.

The ideal candidate combines supply chain expertise with consultative selling skills and has a proven track record of growing revenue through strategic client acquisition and relationship management.

Business Development & Growth

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets and industry segments.
  • Build and manage a qualified sales pipeline to support revenue, growth, and profitability goals.
  • Lead discovery conversations to understand client needs, business priorities, and supply chain challenges.
  • Develop proposals, presentations, ROI business cases, and support contract discussions with leadership.

Client Relationships

  • Build trusted relationships with prospects, clients, managers, and senior leaders.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact throughout the sales cycle, including business reviews and planning sessions.
  • Support client satisfaction, retention, and growth by identifying cross-sell opportunities.

Supply Chain Solutions

  • Assess client supply chain operations and recommend practical, value-driven improvements.
  • Partner with internal teams to design solutions across transportation, warehousing, inventory, procurement, workforce, and distribution services.
  • Collaborate with operations to confirm feasibility, support implementation, and stay informed on industry trends and technologies.

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor industry, competitor, and customer trends to identify new opportunities.
  • Support growth across manufacturing, energy, utilities, technology, retail, healthcare, and related sectors.
  • Use customer insights to shape clear, differentiated value propositions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with operations, finance, HR, and executive leadership to support business development efforts.
  • Support pricing strategy, profitability analysis, and successful onboarding or transition of new accounts.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, supply chain consulting, logistics, or account management.

  • Proven success generating new business and exceeding revenue goals.

  • Strong understanding of:

  • Familiarity with ERP, WMS, TMS, and data analytics platforms.
  • Existing network within manufacturing, energy, distribution, or utility sectors.
