    Position Summary

     

    Forza Group is seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to support the growth of our industrial design-build construction business. This early-career position offers the potential to advance to a Business Development Manager role.

     

    The Business Development Representative will work closely with the Business Development Manager to identify prospective clients, research industrial companies and capital projects, develop new contacts, conduct initial client outreach, qualify potential opportunities, and maintain business development information in the company's CRM.

     

    The successful candidate does not need prior construction sales experience. We are seeking an individual with a business, industrial, manufacturing, technical, or construction-related education or background who is comfortable communicating with people, enjoys building relationships, is organized and persistent, and is interested in learning about industrial construction.

     

    Forza Group is an industrial design-build general contractor with integrated capabilities spanning general contracting, preconstruction, mechanical/process mechanical construction, electrical construction, steel fabrication, and steel installation/erection.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Research and identify industrial and manufacturing companies that fit Forza Group's target markets.
    • Identify plant managers, engineering managers, capital project managers, facility managers, maintenance managers, and other key decision-makers.
    • Research facility expansions, equipment installations, plant modernization, capital investments, and other potential construction opportunities.
    • Make initial contact with prospective clients through phone, email, LinkedIn, industry events, and other business development activities.
    • Introduce Forza Group and communicate our industrial construction and design-build capabilities.
    • Qualify prospective clients and project opportunities and coordinate introductory meetings with the Business Development Manager.
    • Maintain professional and consistent follow-up with prospective clients.
    • Enter and maintain accurate company, contact, activity, and opportunity information within the company CRM.
    • Support the Business Development Manager with client research, meeting preparation, presentations, proposals, and follow-up.
    • Participate in client meetings, facility visits, trade shows, networking events, and industry organizations.
    • Develop a working knowledge of industrial construction, design-build, mechanical, electrical, and structural steel construction.

    Education & Experience

    • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Manufacturing, Sales, or a related field; or equivalent experience in business, industry, manufacturing, or technical fields.
    • Entry-level candidates and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
    • Previous construction experience is preferred but not required.
    • Previous experience or an internship in sales, business development, manufacturing, construction, engineering, industrial distribution, or another technical environment is a plus.

    Career Opportunity

    This position is a developmental business development role. The individual will gain exposure to industrial construction, client development, estimating, preconstruction, engineering, and project operations.

     

    As experience and industry knowledge grow, the Business Development Representative will assume greater responsibility for client relationships, qualified opportunities, and account development.
