As Akur8 continues to grow, we are looking for a Business Development Representative Intern to support our Sales team in identifying relevant prospects and creating new conversations with insurance professionals.

You will join an international Sales team focused on growing Akur8's client base through new business, account development, and long-term relationships. You will work closely with Sales Directors, Sales Executives Marketing, Sales Operations, and our Actuarial experts. This internship will give you practical experience in B2B SaaS sales, prospecting, and the insurance technology market.

Your mission will include, but not be limited to, the following:

PROSPECT RESEARCH

• Identify insurance companies, reinsurers, brokers, and other relevant organisations that may benefit from Akur8's solutions.
• Research target accounts, their business priorities, and the people involved in pricing, reserving, actuarial, data, and innovation projects.
• Build and maintain clear account lists to support focused outreach.

OUTBOUND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

• Write personalised email and LinkedIn messages that speak to each prospect's role and business context.
• Support outbound calling and follow-up campaigns with guidance from experienced sales colleagues.
• Test different messages, channels, and approaches, then share what you learn with the team.

LEAD QUALIFICATION AND HANDOFF

• Engage with prospects to understand their current processes, challenges, priorities, and potential timelines.
• Qualify early conversations against agreed criteria and identify relevant next steps.
• Schedule meetings for Account Executives and prepare clear handover notes so that each conversation starts with useful context.

SALES AND MARKETING COLLABORATION

• Work with Marketing on campaigns, webinars, events, and content aimed at insurance professionals.
• Share feedback from prospects to help improve messaging and campaign targeting.
• Support the Sales team with account mapping, event preparation, and follow-up activities.
• Support the preparation of client-facing slides and materials, review documents created by the team, and adapt content to address specific client needs.

CRM AND REPORTING

• Keep prospect and activity information accurate in the CRM.
• Track outreach, responses, meetings, and follow-up actions.
• Prepare simple activity reports and contribute ideas to improve the team's day-to-day sales process.

You will be based in Paris and will work primarily from our office. Occasional travel may be required for team meetings, events, or conferences.

We are looking for someone who is curious about business, comfortable speaking with new people, and ready to learn through practice.

EDUCATIONAL / PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• You are currently enrolled in a Business School, university, or equivalent programme and are looking for a full-time 6-month internship, with a starting date between October and December.
• You are interested in B2B sales, technology, insurance, or a role that combines business conversations with analytical thinking.
• You communicate clearly in writing and in conversation, and you are comfortable adapting your message to different audiences.
• You are organized, persistent, and able to manage several follow-up tasks without losing track of details.
• You take initiative, ask thoughtful questions, and respond well to feedback.
• You enjoy working with colleagues from different countries and functions.
• You have strong spoken and written English & French. Additional language is a bonus.

BONUS SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

• A first experience in sales, business development, customer service, or another role involving outreach.
• Familiarity with a CRM, sales engagement platform, LinkedIn, or other tools used to research and contact prospects.
• Previous experience in an international company, student association, start-up, or technology environment.
• An interest in the insurance industry and in the way data can support better business decisions.
