TRC Talent Solutions is hiring a Project Engineer - Business Development for a leading structural engineering firm! 
 
This is a direct hire, hybrid role with some travel!
 
We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Project Engineer – Business Development! This hybrid role blends technical project management with client-facing business development, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both engineering and relationship-building. You will play a key role in expanding the firm’s client base while also leading and delivering structural engineering projects.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, architects, contractors, and owners

  • Pursue, and secure new business opportunities within target markets

  • Lead proposal development, presentations, and contract negotiations

  • Manage structural engineering projects from concept through completion

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle

  • Monitor project scope, schedule, and budget to ensure profitability and client satisfaction

  • Contribute to structural design and engineering analysis as needed

  • Review plans, calculations, and deliverables for quality and accuracy

  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and project teams

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to inform growth strategy

  • Assist in developing fee structures, scopes of work, and project strategies

  • Work closely with internal engineering, operations, and leadership teams to align business goals with project execution

 
Qualifications:
  • 3–4 years of experience in structural or civil engineering

  • Experience managing engineering or construction-related projects

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Demonstrated interest or experience in business development, client relations, or sales

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
