Business Development Manager, Steel Erection

Expand the book of an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector winning Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. This permanent full-time Business Development Manager seat pays $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives and requires Midwest travel.

Key accountabilities

• Develop steel erection opportunities with general contractors and owners
• Run pursuits on structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons from first contact to award
• Stay ahead of competitors, bid calendars, and Midwest project forecasts
• Travel across the Midwest to deepen relationships and close work
• Represent an AISC-certified Michigan erector with clients and at industry events

What you bring

• Business development or sales experience in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• A record securing large Midwest tonnage projects
• Relationships with general contractors, fabricators, or owners preferred
• Open to Midwest travel
• Strong communicator with a closing track record
