Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager/Staffing Account Manager to manage existing client relationships and develop new staffing business.
The ideal candidate will have experience in IT staffing, account management, business
development, client relationship management, and revenue generation. The person should be comfortable working with clients, hiring managers, MSPs, prime vendors, and internal recruiting teams.
Experience managing or generating $2M–$5M+ in annual staffing business/revenue is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Account Management
Manage and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
Communicate with hiring managers and business stakeholders to understand staffing needs.
Conduct regular client meetings and follow up on requirements and open issues.
Work with recruiting and delivery teams to ensure qualified candidates are submitted on
time.
Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and increase staffing business.
Resolve client concerns and maintain strong long-term relationships.
Business Development
Identify and develop new clients and business opportunities.
Generate new staffing requirements through networking, referrals, industry contacts, and
direct outreach.
Build relationships with hiring managers, MSPs, prime vendors, and other staffing decision makers.
Attend client meetings, networking events, and industry events when required.
Negotiate rates, business terms, and staffing agreements.
Help increase company revenue and profitability.
Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities.
Recruiting & Delivery Coordination
Work closely with recruiters and delivery teams on client requirements.
Communicate job requirements, priorities, and submission expectations to recruiting teams.
Track candidates through submissions, interviews, offers, and onboarding.
Coordinate with internal teams to resolve delivery or staffing issues.
Ensure client requirements and deadlines are clearly communicated.
Account Operations
Maintain client and account information, staffing reports, and trackers.
Monitor account performance and provide regular updates to management.
Support client onboarding, compliance, and documentation requirements.
Coordinate with managers, Directors, Senior Directors, and VPs on account activities.
Required Qualifications
3–5+ years of experience in IT staffing, account management, business development, client
services, or IT services.
Proven experience managing existing staffing accounts.
Experience developing new clients and generating staffing requirements.
Strong understanding of the IT staffing industry.
Experience working with direct clients, hiring managers, MSPs, prime vendors, or staffing
partners.
Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities.
Strong ownership, follow-up, and accountability.
Willingness to travel occasionally, up to 25%.
Preferred Skills
Experience with CRM, ATS, and VMS platforms.
Experience with contract staffing, contract-to-hire, and direct-hire staffing.
Knowledge of onshore/offshore staffing models.
Strong business networking and client-development skills.
Experience with client onboarding and compliance.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Experience managing or contributing to $2M–$5M+ annual staffing revenue/business.
