    Description

    Key Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the sale of product lines and services within an assigned territory and achievement of designated sales targets.
    • Accountable for developing and executing strategic territory sales plan to achieve sales growth objectives, including building and maintaining a growing pipeline/backlog of business for assigned territory. .
    • Partner with the Leaders, as well as relevant subject matter experts, to win business and coordinate appropriate technical resources to staff opportunities with clients.
    • Qualify, sell, and close deals, including those that are cross-functional or multi-service.
    • Influence key decision-makers early, ensuring that they understand the relevance of products and services.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with all targeted customers.
    • Understand and execute marketing plans.
    • Manage budgets and expenses within guidelines.
    • Clearly articulate compelling value proposition and provide technical and administrative information on service offerings.
    • Create, develop, and manage leads, accounts, contacts, and opportunities in Hubspot.
    • Assist with the implementation of new sales strategies and tactical plans.
    • Provide marketing feedback to identify key resources for adoption of product lines.
    • Liaise with the internal team to ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
    • Manage successful transition of opportunities to the delivery team.

    Required skills and experience

    • Proven sales ability with complex, high value, long lead time sales.
    • Deep understanding of how sales organizations function.
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form, both internally and externally to a wide variety of professionals.
    • Ability to assume additional responsibilities and take the initiative to perform the necessary analysis, and seek out opportunities to identify and solve problems.
    • Ability to work on assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives.
    • Excellent technical home office skills including but not limited to Hubspot, NetSuite and MS Excel.
    • Applies in-depth specialty knowledge within subject area to complete assignments of diverse scope.
    • Contributes to the development of new plans, models, standards and techniques.
    • Widely uses and applies standard principles, theories, concepts and techniques in addition to a working knowledge of related disciplines.
    • Understands impact on budget.
    • Networks, shares knowledge, and keeps up-to-date with peers inside and outside the company.

    • Solves problems in complicated situations through the application and integration of analytical skills, creativity and judgment.
    • Provides imaginative, thorough and practical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
    • Problems are of moderate scope and complexity where analysis of situation or data requires review of identifiable factors.
    • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

    Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in biologic or related scientific discipline; MBA or a plus.
    • Experience selling high-end, project-based, professional consulting services, characterized by long sales cycles and both large and small dollar transactions.
    • Minimum of 5+ years managing complex clients and sales cycles.
    • Excellent knowledge of the Life Sciences marketplace.
    • Expertise in gaining access and influencing decision-makers at the highest levels in the client organization.
