Business Development Manager - Injection Molding

Base Salary $140,000 - $175,000 with commission - dependent on experience

The Opportunity
This is a ground-floor opportunity to own and grow OEM sales for a technically advanced, globally established injection molder that recently launched a new U.S. facility. You'll operate at the intersection of technical expertise and consultative selling — managing the full commercial cycle from prospecting through contract, with direct visibility to executive leadership. The company is well-capitalized with backing from a European parent organization, giving you enterprise-grade resources in a startup-speed environment.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and grow OEM accounts across the North American commercial markets, building both a new-business pipeline and deepening existing relationships.
  • Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, RFQ response, pricing, negotiation, contract execution, and on-time/on-budget project delivery.
  • Create tailored sales strategies for each target OEM account, leveraging your technical knowledge to position capabilities accurately and competitively.
  • Coordinate with global key account teams to align commercial strategy for multinational customers and share market intelligence across regions.
  • Serve as a trusted technical resource for clients — answering application questions, matching product capabilities to customer needs, and building long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with purchasing, operations, and production teams to ensure seamless order processing and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and communicate sales forecasts, order status, and pipeline activity directly to the CEO & President.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of B2B sales or account management experience in the commercial injection molding application industry, with strong preference for candidates who have sold and priced injection-molded or plastic-manufactured components.
  • Hands-on familiarity with plastic injection molding processes — enough to speak credibly with engineering and procurement contacts at OEM customers.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving revenue targets and managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills; equally comfortable in a boardroom and on a plant floor.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic, growing environment and brings entrepreneurial energy.
  • Ability to travel domestically (U.S. and Canada) with limited international travel as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
Onboarding: 6-Week Paid Training Program — Emporia, VA
New hires complete a structured onboarding program at the company's production facility in Emporia, VA. Company-provided housing is included for the duration of training. This immersive experience gives you direct exposure to manufacturing operations, product capabilities, and the technical knowledge you'll need to sell with authority from day one.
