Talson's culture focuses on excellence, respect and community engagement.  Client Service & Outreach  Identify potential business clients and develop client profiles for evaluation; determine which opportunities to pursueConduct outreach campaigns for business development, follow-up on leads, report on progress, and other sales effortsBuild relationships with key decision-makers and influencersEstablish new connections, partnerships, seek introductions to potential, and effectively represent the firm at industry events, conferences, association meetings, and networking venues nationallyMaintain understanding of firm's service offerings to leverage potential opportunitiesCollaborate with senior leadership to ensure continual focus on agreed upon strategic objectives, processes, pursuits, and areas of targeted growthAssess leads to determine interest and refer to Business Development Team for evaluation Independently develop sales strategy to approach markets within region including acquisition targets, new business lines, and partnerships to growBusiness Development Assess RFP opportunities across business lines with recommendations for go or no-goProvide oversight to proposal development process to ensure overall quality, content, orientation, and messaging aligns internally and the response meets RFP/buyer requirements; review all submissions for formatting/grammar/readability/accuracy Collaborate on design of sales presentation slides and implement updates and changesAssist in updating, maintaining, and reporting from CRM system Ability to manage multiple projects and mediate between multiple perspectivesFocus on continuous growth of the firm and business development functionEnsure all processes and related documents are aggregated within the business development handbook Marketing Coordinate inventory of marketing materials Oversight regarding marketing collateral to ensure materials are current and reflect firm service offerings; assist with creation of specialized materials as neededCoordinate website updates with vendor and manage edits where applicableCoordinate updates, printing, or production of marketing materials and website updates Resource to staff for assistance with outreach to perspectives buyers (collateral, email, meeting preparation, etc.) and guidance regarding firm interest and pursuitsProvide support to execution of marketing/sales events (Conference exhibits, speaking engagements, etc.) and follow-up marketingWrite synopses of networking calls for client distributionOrganize customer feedback data for analysisResearch and propose conference schedule with recommendations for new conference attendance/speaking opportunitiesEducation, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:  Minimum Bachelor's degree10 years of experience in business development/client cultivation Proven ability to establish profitable relationships with decision makersExcellent follow through and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and high level of organizationAdapt and be flexible to changing priorities and fast-pace environmentStrong client service inclination for both external and internal customersAbility to create good rapport with others and build relationships effectively Strong comfort in approaching clients with sales conversations; able to handle impromptu client conversations and unique requests professionally and confidentlyAbility to represent Talson and its services, including conducting presentations and speak publicly on behalf of the organizationStrong written and oral communication skillsHigh level of self-initiative and the ability to work independently as well as with a teamStrong computer knowledge is required (Windows Operating Environment, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Excel), thorough knowledge and experience in internet use, html, and databasesEstablished industry client network is preferred.
