    Position: Business Development Manager IT/Tech Staffing
    Location: California (Remote)
    Employment Type: Full-time

    We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Business Development Manager to grow our IT/Tech Staffing business across California. The ideal candidate has a proven record of winning new staffing clients, developing long-term enterprise relationships, and partnering with recruiting teams to deliver high-quality technology talent.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify, prospect, and acquire new clients requiring IT and technology staffing solutions.
    • Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities across enterprise, mid-market, startup, and public-sector accounts.
    • Develop relationships with key decision-makers, including CIOs, CTOs, VPs of Engineering, IT Directors, Procurement leaders, HR leaders, and hiring managers.
    • Sell contract staffing, contract-to-hire, permanent placement, project-based staffing, and managed staffing solutions.
    • Conduct discovery meetings to understand clients' workforce plans, technical hiring needs, budget constraints, and vendor requirements.
    • Create and present tailored staffing proposals, capability presentations, rate cards, and service agreements.
    • Negotiate master service agreements, statements of work, vendor agreements, pricing, payment terms, and other commercial terms in collaboration with leadership.
    • Partner with recruiting and delivery teams to qualify job requirements, communicate client expectations, and ensure timely candidate submissions.
    • Maintain ongoing client relationships after placement to drive consultant extensions, repeat business, referrals, and account growth.
    • Track sales activity, opportunities, forecasts, client meetings, and revenue performance in the CRM system.
    • Monitor California and national IT hiring trends, competitor activity, client demand, and emerging technology skill requirements.
    • Attend virtual and in-person networking events, industry conferences, and client meetings as needed.
    • Meet or exceed established targets for new business, revenue, gross margin, client acquisition, and account retention.


    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Human Resources, Technology, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
    • 7+ years of business development, sales, account management, or client acquisition experience in IT staffing, technology recruiting, professional services, or workforce solutions.
    • Demonstrated success in generating new business and closing staffing or consulting deals.
    • Strong understanding of IT staffing models, including W-2 consulting, C2C, contract-to-hire, direct hire, and managed staffing services.
    • Experience selling technology talent solutions in areas such as software engineering, cloud, data, cybersecurity, ERP, DevOps, AI/ML, QA, product, infrastructure, or digital transformation.
    • Proven ability to engage senior-level stakeholders and build trusted client relationships.
    • Experience with CRM and sales-prospecting tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Bullhorn, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, or similar platforms.
    • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.
