    Description

    What You'll Do

    • Build genuine, lasting relationships with EPC project managers, estimators, capital project managers plant managers, maintenance supervisors, reliability and facility engineers, and procurement teams, across oil & gas, power generation, chemical, and industrial sectors.
    • Identify and develop new business through networking, referrals, industry events, and direct outreach - building pipeline from the ground up across commercial and government customer segments.
    • Navigate the distinct procurement processes of each customer type: EPC project bidding, plant-side maintenance and capital approval cycles, and federal contracting / SAM.gov requirements for government work.
    • Sell toward siding and roofing construction installations, recurring maintenance contracts and replacement of existing enclosures- building account relationships that renew year over year.
    • Represent our services in proposals, presentations, and site meetings with confidence - supported by our technical team when the conversation goes deep.
    • Manage a sales pipeline from first contact through signed contract, keeping opportunities moving and stakeholders engaged across long (6-18 month) sales cycles.
    • Collaborate with operations and project teams to ensure a seamless handoff from sale to delivery.
    • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline data, and revenue forecasts.
    • Travel 25-40% to customer facilities, plants, project sites, and industry events.

    What You Bring

    Required

    • 7-15 years of industrial sales, business development, or consultative selling experience, with a proven track record of building trust-based relationships that generate consistent revenue.
    • Experience in one or more adjacent industries: industrial roofing, industrial insulation, mechanical contracting, industrial coatings, turnaround services, scaffolding, plant maintenance services, or industrial construction.
    • A genuine gift for reading people, building rapport quickly, and maintaining relationships across long sales cycles and complex organizations.
    • Demonstrated development mentality - proven ability to open new accounts and build net-new pipeline without warm leads handed to you.
    • High emotional intelligence: you know when to push, when to listen, and when to simply show up.
    • Comfort navigating industrial (and, where applicable, government) procurement environments - or the drive to learn quickly.
    • Strong organizational skills and discipline to manage a complex pipeline across multiple account types and sales stages.
    • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) and Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to meet facility-specific background check, drug screening, security or credentialing requirements as applicable, including a TWIC card.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or a related field - or equivalent experience.

    Preferred

    • Existing relationships with maintenance managers, reliability engineers, facility and plant engineers, procurement managers, capital project managers, or plant managers in the oil & gas, power, refining, or chemical sectors.
    • Experience selling into Gulf Coast plants - significantly more valuable than general commercial roofing experience.
    • Familiarity with turnaround and outage planning cycles and how maintenance and capital decisions are made inside large industrial facilities.
    • Experience selling services or specialty contracting to EPC firms, general contractors, or major industrial facility operators.
    • Familiarity with federal contracting, SAM.gov, and government procurement cycles for defense and government work.
    • Working knowledge of industrial roofing systems (Modified Bitumen, TPO, PVC, EPDM, metal), leak investigation, roof inspections, moisture intrusion, and preventive maintenance programs - a plus, not a requirement.
    • Safety credentials that add credibility on secured sites: TWIC Card, OSHA 30, Basic Plus (PEC/Safeland), and ISNetworld / Avetta / DISA familiarity.

    Compensation & Benefits

    • $120,000 base salary + uncapped commission on new contracts and renewals - no ceiling on what top performers can earn

    Work Environment

    This is a national, remote role based in Houston, TX, with 25-40% travel to industrial customer facilities, project sites, industry events, and company meetings. Work inside secured facilities requires compliance with site-specific safety protocols, PPE standards, and credentialing requirements - we provide full orientation and support.
