    Description

    TSC is seeking a Business Development Lead (BDL) with a focus on business capture to support various programs and pursuits in Airborne ISR Products & Services . The role spans market assessment, forecasting opportunity, capture management and proposal writing, working closely with Operations Managers, Program Managers, Technical Engineering Resources, and Pricing leads to assess, pursue, propose, and capture critical path awards aligned to the P&L's business plan and focus areas. Building trust internally and externally with stakeholders is essential. By following established capture processes, the BDL will accomplish tasks in direct support of the Director of Business Development and coordinate with Program Managers, Operations Managers, and the Division Manager. Activities include prospective opportunity reviews, developing and tracking external engagement, satisfying related action items, collaborating to develop win themes, executing capture strategies, and leading assigned proposals. Travel is required up to 50% with a focus on prospective customers.ResponsibilitiesWithin the first six months, gain a keen understanding of the assigned P&L's vision, mission, business plan, overarching strategies and technical focus areas.Develop subject matter expertise in TSC's AISR Products & Services domain: past performance, existing capabilities, and future potential.Partner as a thought‑leader during annual planning, growth and strategy sessions.Lead the hunt and identify new and emerging business opportunities aligned to Airborne ISR existing capabilities.Pro‑actively identify, engage with, and track prospective customers.Produce initial drafts, obtain feedback, and receive approval for marketing material, white papers, and presentations to influence prospective customer Decision Making Units.Develop material illustrating Concepts of Operations utilizing Airborne ISR Products & Services by leveraging P&L SMEs and corporate Marketing resources.Manage the assigned P&L's opportunity pipeline under the direction of Operations Manager, Division Manager, and Business Development Director.Analyze draft/final RFPs and related documents to guide and steer Program Manager's and Technical SMEs' inputs for compliant but compelling on‑time responses for Bids & Proposals.Lead and manage all assigned proposal activities, finding ways to win.Develop and retain key government and industry partnerships.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in a relevant field of study and a minimum of 5 years of related professional experience in Airborne ISR solutions, products, or services with government or industry (Relevant work experience, including military service, may be substituted in lieu of a degree).US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.Formal certification, training, or degree in relevant or supporting knowledge areas directly tied to business development or business capture.Relentless desire and initiative to identify and initiate engagements with new prospective customers.Demonstrated ability to perform within cross‑functional, geographically separated teams to meet assigned objectives.Previous relevant experience conducting research, assessing data, and compiling written reports.Strong persona and ability to effectively gather information needed from files, team members, and senior staff on time.Understanding of what it takes to accomplish initial drafts for white papers, presentations, and FAR‑compliant proposal content.Previous project management, program management, pricing, business development, bid and proposal, or capture experience.Demonstrated knowledge of key business development and capture workflow milestones.Ability to facilitate capture activity gate reviews, manage action items, and outcomes.Demonstrated learning from business capture; success and failure.Knowledge of government procurement, fiscal, and regulatory environments.Desired Qualifications10+ years of professional experience in FAR‑compliant business capture directly working proposal workflows and relevant content.Variety of experience in capture spanning Commercial, B2B, Government Prime Contractor and Sub‑contractor.Subject Matter Expertise in Multi‑Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance.Previous pipeline or prospective business forecast data management.Proposal management acumen using established or widely accepted industry methodologies.Knowledge or experience in emerging technologies or supporting tools to enhance business capture, proposals, and win rates.Demonstrated ability to win new business capture opportunities.Deep professional and personal networking skills.TSC Benefits: TSC offers a stable work environment, a competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefit package including ESOP participation, 401(k) Plan, Flexible Work Schedules, Tuition Reimbursement, Co‑Sponsored Health Plan, Paid Leave and more.Employment at TSC is contingent upon the successful completion of a comprehensive background check, security investigation, and drug screening.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
