Business Development Executive, E-Commerce 3PLDepartment: SalesReports To: VP SalesFLSA Status: ExemptLocation: Hybrid/On-sitePosition SummaryWe are seeking a high-performing Business Development Executive to help accelerate growth for a fastmoving, e-commerce-focused 3PL with approximately $40 million in revenue across two locations. This is a high-ownership, high-accountability role for a true hunter who thrives on creating opportunity, opening doors, building relationships, and turning momentum into revenue.This is not a role for someone looking for a comfortable routine or a passive pipeline. It is for a driven, competitive, self-starting professional who wants to be in the market, create demand, and help move prospects through the sales funnel from first contact to closed business and successful onboarding.The ideal candidate will serve as part sales leader, part brand ambassador, and part social media champion. This person will not only win new logos, but also actively help position the company in the marketplace by creating engagement, hosting events with brands, and building visibility through authentic, high-energy outreach. Experience with ShipHero or similar warehouse management and fulfillment technology is strongly preferred.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesNew Business DevelopmentProspect aggressively for new e-commerce fulfillment opportunities.Build and manage a strong pipeline through outbound outreach, referrals, networking, events, and inbound lead follow-up.Lead discovery calls, facility tours, presentations, and proposal conversations with prospective customers.Develop tailored fulfillment solutions that align with client needs and operational capabilities.Move opportunities through the full sales funnel with urgency, discipline, and consistency.Negotiate commercial terms and support contract execution.Consistently generate new logos and help ensure a smooth transition into onboarding.Brand Ambassador and Market ActivationServe as an active, visible ambassador for the company in the e-commerce and logistics market.Proactively create opportunities to connect with target brands through hosted events, meetups, roundtables, facility visits, and networking activations.Help build trust and accelerate the sales funnel by creating meaningful touchpoints with prospects and partners.Represent the company with confidence, professionalism, and energy in every external interaction.Strengthen the company's reputation as a dynamic, growth-minded fulfillment partner.Stay close to the market and continuously look for ways to get the brand in front of the right audience.Social Media and Content AdvocacyChampion the company's presence on LinkedIn, Instagram, and other relevant social channels.Help turn wins, customer stories, event activity, facility moments, and team highlights into engaging content.Work with leadership and marketing to keep the brand visible, relevant, and active in the market.Use social media as a real business development tool to build credibility and create interest.Bring energy, ideas, and consistency to the company's digital presence.Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with operations, customer success, and leadership to ensure a smooth handoff from signed deal to onboarded customer.Communicate customer expectations, goals, and service requirements clearly internally.Bring market intelligence back to the team to sharpen messaging, offers, and positioning.Maintain accurate CRM activity, pipeline management, and sales reporting.Support continuous improvement across the sales process, onboarding experience, and market strategy.What Success Looks LikeA consistently growing pipeline of qualified opportunitiesNew logos closed and successfully onboardedRevenue generated from new businessEvents and brand activations created with target accountsStronger brand awareness and social engagementA healthy, moving sales funnel with real momentum Strong alignment between sales and operationsQualificationsRequired5+ years of experience in business development, sales, logistics, fulfillment, e-commerce services, or a related field.Proven success generating, advancing, and closing new business.Strong communication skills and confident executive presence.Ability to build trust quickly with founders, operators, and decision-makers.Self-motivated, organized, and highly accountable.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high expectations.Willingness to travel for client meetings, events, and industry engagements.PreferredExperience selling 3PL, fulfillment, warehousing, or supply chain solutions.Familiarity with e-commerce operations and fulfillment workflows.Experience with ShipHero or similar systems.Ability to use social media as a business development and brand-building tool.Experience creating events, activations, or customer-facing networking opportunities.Core TraitsRelentless and competitiveHigh-energy and persuasiveRelationship-driven, but not passiveComfortable making the ask and moving the deal forwardStrong storyteller and confident communicatorNaturally proactive and self-startingExcited by growth, momentum, and building something meaningfulNot afraid of a fast pace, a high bar, or being measured on resultsWork EnvironmentThis role is best suited for someone who wants to be in the action, not on the sidelines.
