Compensation: $22-$26/hour
Position Summary
The Business Development Associate supports growth of OIC Construction by identifying opportunities, assisting with proposals, and coordinating outreach and client engagement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Track RFPs and bid opportunities across local, state, and federal platforms
- Assist in preparing proposals, bid packages, and capability statements
- Maintain the opportunity pipeline and CRM system
- Coordinate outreach with clients, partners, and stakeholders
- Schedule site visits, meetings, and business development events
- Support internal tools, including the RFP search engine pilot
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years in business development, sales support, marketing, or construction administration
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred (Optional) Skills
- Familiarity with CRM systems or pipeline tracking tools
- Interest in construction, real estate, or community development
- Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude) for research, writing, or workflow support
- Exposure to RFP tracking, bid analysis, or proposal development processes
- Comfortable learning and adopting new technology tools
