Role Summary:

As the Business Development Analyst of the Grocery team, you'll be at the heart of our operations - using data, crafting compelling narratives, and delivering insights to propel our omnichannel business forward within this retail environment. In this role, you'll work alongside a dedicated team that is passionate about driving growth for our strong brands.

The Business Development Analyst plays a critical role in supporting grocery and regional customer development teams. This position is responsible for driving business insights, managing promotional execution, and maintaining vital sales tracking reports to ensure progress against quarterly and annual goals. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, collaborative, and capable of managing both routine reporting and ad-hoc strategic projects across major retail accounts.

This role is based out of our Rosemont, IL or Cincinnati, OH CD office locations. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Accordingly, all applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis and must not require the Company's sponsorship to continue to work legally in the United States.

Responsibilities:

  • Integrate and synthesize multiple data sources to compile brand and category overviews, evaluate promotions and sales, and manage business fundamentals with various tools. Analyze and transform data into clear, actionable insights, develop compelling stories and present findings to inform customer recommendations and strategic planning.

  • Stay ahead of market dynamics by closely monitoring retail trends, conducting regular retail audits, and tracking competitor activity to uncover growth opportunities for our brands.

  • Understand the power of collaboration and communication, and thrive on building strong relationships both within the organization and within Healthcare. Participate in line reviews, business reviews, and strategy meetings. Work closely with our cross-functional teams including supply chain, shopper insights, shopper marketing, retail marketing and ecommerce to drive our omni business.

  • Push boundaries and seek new solutions. Drive initiatives to enhance our analytical capabilities to understand business results and trends. Be proactive in taking initiatives to anticipate and resolve issues.

  • Access ongoing professional development and training programs, engage in Colgate's sustainability efforts, and contribute to our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Sales, Marketing, and eCommerce

  • Experience in Consumer Product Goods (CPG) or with syndicated services (Nielsen, IRI)

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range $70,000.00 - $96,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
