General Description
The Orange Human Resources Department has an opening for Business and Administrative Coordinator.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS
The work is primarily responsible for providing comprehensive administrative, technical, and clerical support to Human Resources programs, with emphasis on onboarding, performance and training systems, front-desk operations, event coordination, and employee/customer service. Work includes coordinating New Employee Orientation, supporting HR systems such as NEOGOV Learn and Perform, processing routine HR documentation, and ensuring smooth daily operations of the department.
Work is performed under the general supervision of a Senior HR Manager with independent judgment allowed within established rules, regulations, and procedures in theperformanceofduties,bothintermsofplanningandaccomplishingwork,andinmaking decisions regarding customer needs and requests and conducting project assignments. Supervision is not a responsibility of this class. Does related work asrequired.

Full Performance of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, public administration, or related field AND one (1) year of human resources in customer service, and administrative and HR support; OR
An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined above. A higher degree does not substitute for work experience.
SPECIALREQUIREMENTS
The possession of or the ability to obtain a North Carolina drivers license.
All offers of employment are conditional upon successful clearance of a background check.
Employment cannot commence until the employee has beencleared.
Possession of or the ability to obtain a Notary Public certification within six (6) months.
