Description

TreCom Systems Group, Inc. will be hiring Business Analysts to support technology initiatives and business process improvement projects. These will be full-time positions with TreCom and roles will be hybrid (onsite work in Richmond, VA). The Business Analysts will serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, project teams, technical teams, and vendors to ensure business needs are clearly understood, documented, and successfully delivered.

Job Responsibilities

Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and system requirements.
Conduct stakeholder interviews, requirements workshops, and working sessions.
Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
Develop business requirements documents, functional specifications, user stories, use cases, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
Analyze current-state and future-state business processes and recommend improvements.
Work closely with project managers, developers, testers, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
Support Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project methodologies.
Participate in system design and solution evaluation activities.
Develop and maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
Support system testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), test case development, defect tracking, and issue resolution.
Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Prepare status updates, presentations, analysis, and other project documentation.
Support change management, training, and end-user adoption activities as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
5+ years of professional Business Analyst experience in IT or software development environments.
Strong experience with requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation.
Experience developing process flows, requirements documentation, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
Experience supporting software implementation or system modernization projects.
Experience with system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid SDLC environments.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office/365 applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working on Commonwealth of Virginia or other public-sector projects.
Experience with state government systems, regulatory environments, or government programs.
Experience with enterprise application implementations and system conversions.
Experience with data analysis, data mapping, integrations, or data migration.
Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Visio, or similar tools.
Experience supporting vendor-managed implementations.
Experience with process improvement and business process modeling.
CBAP other relevant certification is a plus.
