Business Analyst
Join a dynamic utility organization supporting critical business operations, performance analysis, and process improvement initiatives. The Business Analyst will leverage industry knowledge, data analysis, and enterprise technologies to support business needs and improve operational performance.
Contract Length: 12 months
Location: Carneys Point, NJ
Hybrid - M/F WFH and T/W/TH in office
Business Analyst Responsibilities
- Analyze business data, processes, performance metrics, and operational trends to support informed decision-making.
- Retrieve, evaluate, and interpret data using enterprise systems and business intelligence tools.
- Support functional areas such as asset management, electric or gas operations, customer service, transmission, substations, distribution operations, regulatory affairs, and planning.
- Develop reports, forecasts, business models, and presentations using Microsoft Office and specialized business applications.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify business needs and improve processes and operational performance.
Business Analyst Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Business or Engineering plus 4 7 years of related business experience; or, in lieu of a degree, 6 9 years of relevant business experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of applicable standards, methods, processes, business practices, and performance metrics within the supported functional area.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Experience with enterprise technologies such as SAP, Business Objects, PassPort, Brio, CIS, EPS, workforce management, project management, forecasting, work management, or outage management systems.
The ideal Business Analyst brings strong analytical skills, utility-industry knowledge, and the ability to translate operational data into actionable business insights.
