    Business Analyst

    Job Summary

    KBR is seeking a Business Analyst to support complex defense program operations in Huntsville, Alabama. This position serves as a key member of a program office responsible for planning, programming, budgeting, acquisition support, and financial management activities across the full lifecycle of assigned programs. The selected candidate will analyze program performance, support resource allocation decisions, assist with budget development and execution, and provide data-driven recommendations to leadership. The role requires close coordination with government customers, program managers, financial teams, acquisition professionals, and functional stakeholders to achieve program objectives. This position offers the opportunity to directly contribute to mission-critical capabilities supporting national security programs while helping ensure effective stewardship of government resources.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Support planning, programming, budgeting, and financial management activities for assigned programs throughout all lifecycle phases.

    • Analyze program execution data, funding requirements, obligations, and expenditures to support informed decision-making.

    • Assist in the development, review, and justification of budget submissions, forecasts, and program funding documentation.

    • Support acquisition planning activities, contract execution monitoring, and coordination of procurement-related actions.

    • Prepare reports, briefings, financial analyses, and status updates for program leadership and government stakeholders.

    • Track program milestones, schedules, manpower requirements, and resource allocations to support successful program execution.

    • Support development and review of Program Objective Memorandum (POM), Program Budget Guidance (PBG), and related planning documents.

    • Evaluate program performance metrics and identify risks, trends, and opportunities for process improvement.

    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with applicable policies, regulations, and customer requirements.

    • Other duties as assigned in support of mission and business requirements.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

    • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in business analysis, program management, financial management, acquisition support, or related government program functions.

    • Experience supporting planning, programming, budgeting, and execution activities for government or defense programs.

    • Experience preparing and analyzing financial reports, budget documentation, or program performance metrics.

    • Working knowledge of federal acquisition processes and program lifecycle management.

    • U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience supporting Army, aviation, missile, or defense acquisition programs.

    • Knowledge of Program Objective Memorandum (POM), Program Budget Guidance (PBG), and Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) processes.

    • Experience supporting Foreign Military Sales (FMS), Military Interdepartmental Procurement Requests (MIPRs), or other government funding mechanisms.

    • Experience leading business management activities within a program office environment.

    • Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Program Management, or a related field.

    • Travel Requirements: Minimal (0-20%)
