Business Analyst – Pegasus

Project Overview

Seeking two Business Analysts to support business testing and validation activities for Project Pegasus, which involves transitioning from Yardi-based reporting to a Snowflake-driven reporting environment. The scope includes developing and executing test cases, rebuilding reports, performing data validation and reconciliation across multiple systems, and engaging stakeholders to ensure successful go-live with minimal defects and complete validation sign-offs.

Required Skillset

A. Technical Skills

• SQL (mandatory); exposure to Snowflake is a plus.
• Python for data validation and automation (mandatory).
• Familiarity with code-based BI tools such as Streamlit is preferred, or experience building BI tools using Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong Excel proficiency.

B. Testing Skills

• Experience in UAT planning, test case creation, execution, and defect management.

C. Reporting Skills

• Ability to reverse engineer reports, define KPIs, and validate reporting outputs.

D. Functional Expertise

• Fund accounting knowledge, including GL, TB, COA, and financial reporting.

E. Soft Skills

• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to work across business and technology teams.

Key Deliverables

The key deliverables expected from the Business Analysts during the project include:

Testing and Documentation Process

Business Analysts will develop test cases and support user acceptance testing (UAT) execution. They will validate outputs across Yardi and Snowflake, track defects, and support business sign-off.

The process includes analyzing existing Yardi reports, documenting logic, defining future-state Snowflake reporting requirements, and validating rebuilt reports. They will also perform reconciliations between Yardi, Investran, and Snowflake, validate trial balances, and report outputs.

Documentation will include test cases, defect logs, report specifications, validation outputs, and reconciliation reports.

Data Validation and Reconciliation

Business Analysts will need to access Yardi, Investran, and Snowflake systems for data validation and reconciliation. The criteria for success include successful testing completion, accurate report rebuilds, minimal defects at go-live, and complete validation sign-offs.

Defect Management

Defects will be tracked and managed through a structured process involving defect triage, retesting coordination, and maintaining detailed defect logs. This approach ensures that defects are identified, prioritized, and resolved efficiently during the testing phase.

Training and Onboarding

Business Analysts will receive guidance and some training to familiarize themselves with the existing systems, such as Yardi, Snowflake, and Investran, to effectively perform their roles.

Important Dates

Two Business Analysts will be required from October 1, 2026, through May 1, 2027. Please note these dates for resource planning and scheduling purposes.
