Business Analyst - Market Risk

Join a High-Profile Market Risk Transformation Initiative

Lead requirements gathering through workshops, stakeholder interviews, process reviews, and data analysis. Own and maintain business requirements documentation, process flows, data mappings, and traceability matrices. Define business rules, controls, reporting requirements, and data governance standards. Partner with Risk, Finance, Technology, and Operations teams to support a large-scale risk platform migration. Analyze market risk methodologies including VaR, stress testing, sensitivities, and risk factor reporting. Define future-state reporting requirements and data lineage across reporting platforms and downstream consumers. Support testing strategy, UAT execution, reconciliations, issue resolution, and business sign-off. Drive stakeholder engagement and facilitate decision-making across multiple business functions. Extensive Business Analysis experience within Market Risk, Risk Reporting, Treasury Risk, or related banking transformation programs. Strong understanding of VaR, stress testing, scenario analysis, market risk reporting, and risk data architecture. Hands-on experience with requirements management, data analysis, process modelling, testing, and reconciliations. Advanced SQL and Excel skills with the ability to analyze and validate complex datasets. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technology teams. Experience working within highly regulated financial services environments. Exposure to platforms such as RiskMetrics, FraimWRX, Snowflake, Power BI, Murex, or similar is highly desirable. Location: Midtown Manhattan, New York. Working Pattern: Hybrid, 4 days per week in the office.
