Business Analyst Life & Annuity Insurance (Remote)

Salary is 150k to 170k + bonus We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with experience in the Life & Annuity Insurance industry to support the implementation and configuration of modern business and policy administration solutions. This role will partner closely with project managers, stakeholders, and technical teams to help streamline workflows, gather requirements, and support system configuration initiatives in a fast-paced Agile environment.

This role will partner closely with project managers, stakeholders, and technical teams to help streamline workflows, gather requirements, and support system configuration initiatives in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business needs and translate requirements into functional and technical specifications
• Support configuration and implementation of policy administration and business process workflows
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business users, developers, QA, and project management
• Participate in requirements gathering sessions, process mapping, testing, and user acceptance activities
• Assist with SaaS platform implementations and system enhancement initiatives
• Utilize SQL for data analysis, validation, and reporting needs
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and status updates
• Document workflows, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business processes

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience
• Experience working within the Life & Annuity Insurance domain
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience supporting SaaS-based applications or cloud platforms
• Working knowledge of SQL for querying and data validation
• Familiarity with Agile tools and methodologies such as JIRA and Confluence
• Exposure to AI-driven platforms or configuration tools is a plus
