Position Title: Trade Control Analyst
Work Location: 
20 Greenway Plaza, Houston, TX 77046
Pay Rate: $40.37/hour W2 (paid weekly)
Duration: 12 months
Benefits: Health, Vision, and Dental
Start Date: ASAP, pending onboarding completion
Schedule: Onsite 4 days per week during training; hybrid schedule after training (minimum 3 days onsite per week); 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Job Description:

The Global Fixed Income, Currency & Commodities Operations (GFICCO) team provides end-to-end trade control, confirmation, and settlement support across GFICCO businesses. The team also provides over-the-counter (OTC) derivative confirmation and settlement services for non-FICC businesses.

Within GFICCO, the Commodities Trade Control Team supports trade control, settlement, OTC derivative confirmation and settlement, and broader commodities operations.

The team is seeking a Trade Control Analyst to support the growing Global Commodities business across multiple products and financial instruments. Full technical training will be provided.

This desk-aligned position focuses on trade validation and reconciliation, trade amendments, regulatory and management reporting, process and risk improvement, and issue resolution.

The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, intellectually curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn while working effectively in a fast-paced, diverse, and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform trade validation and reconciliation to ensure accurate trade booking across systems.
  • Process trade amendments to correct booking errors and maintain accurate trade records.
  • Investigate, escalate, and resolve trade breaks and discrepancies in partnership with Sales, Trading, and Operations teams.
  • Support regulatory and management reporting activities.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, risk reduction, and control enhancement.
  • Investigate issues, determine root causes, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests and support broader team priorities as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely trade processing.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 4–5 years of commodities experience required.
  • Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, including trade capture, validation, confirmation, and settlement.
  • Strong analytical skills, including data reconciliation, investigation, and interpretation.
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy, quality, and follow-through.
  • Strong controls mindset and risk awareness.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across varying levels of seniority.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize competing workloads while maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong logical and analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to take ownership of issues and recommend practical solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Sales, Trading, Operations, and other business partners.
  • Experience with an ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management) system, such as Endur/Openlink, preferred.
