We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support data transformation and technology initiatives for a long-term contract opportunity in Kansas City, MO.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, Product Owners, and technical delivery teams.

• Gather and translate business needs into detailed technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Develop an understanding of technical systems and business processes to identify requirements and potential solutions.

• Define requirements for data pipelines, platform capabilities, data transformation, and governance solutions.

• Collaborate with architects and engineers to align solutions with platform standards, security, compliance, and data governance requirements.

• Support CI/CD pipelines, observability practices, and data transformation workflows.

• Ensure solutions support scalability, reusability, security, and data-as-a-product principles.

• Assist with prioritization and trade-off analysis to keep projects aligned with delivery commitments.

• Troubleshoot issues and help resolve gaps between business requirements and technical implementation.

• Maintain clear documentation and communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

• Minimum 4 years of technical Business Analyst experience.

• Experience working with Agile development methodologies.

• Strong experience developing technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Ability to work effectively with Product Owners, engineers, architects, and business stakeholders.

• Familiarity with data platforms, data governance, and modern data architecture.

• Exposure to technologies such as GCP, Confluent, Kafka, and Apigee preferred.

• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile tools preferred.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
